About Most Viral Today
What we cover
Most Viral Today publishes the videos, pictures and moments people are sharing online right now, and tells the story behind them. That means clips of animals, weather, sport, rescues, near misses and everyday people doing remarkable things, alongside picture stories and short articles on entertainment, nature, science and human interest.
A clip that has been watched millions of times usually arrives without context. Our job is to add it: who filmed it, where and when, what is actually happening, and why it is worth your time.
How we work
- Video is licensed and credited. Clips are used with permission, either licensed from the person who filmed them or supplied by a licensing agency, and the creator is credited on the story. Where a platform offers an embed, we prefer it.
- Pictures have a known source. Picture stories use images we hold a licence for, images from photo agencies, public domain archives, images supplied with permission, or images we made ourselves.
- A person approves every story. We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. Nothing is published until an editor has read it, checked it and approved it.
- AI images are labelled. Some illustrations are generated or edited with AI. Those images carry a visible label saying so.
- Commercial links are disclosed. If a story contains affiliate links or was produced with a commercial partner, it says so at the top of the article.
The full rules are in our editorial policy.
Who is responsible
Most Viral Today is run by a small editorial team. Editors choose which stories to cover, review every draft and decide what is published. Where a story carries a writer’s name, the byline links to their author page with their role, background and the other stories they have written.
When we get something wrong we correct it in the open, with a dated note on the story. Our corrections policy explains how.
Where our stories appear
You can read everything we publish on this site. Some stories are also shared with partner platforms, including MSN, and on our social media accounts. The version on this site is always the current one.
