Asda staff smother burning machine with paper towels

Footage captured by a shopper named Keaton shows a visibly smoking machine at the Asda pizza wrap area. Several staff members gather nearby, repeatedly throwing paper towels onto the flames in an attempt to smother the fire. The improvised response creates a brief moment of controlled chaos in the middle of the store, before the camera continues on past the scene.

This clip resonates with viewers because it captures a universal, low-stakes emergency handled with resourcefulness. The contrast between a mundane supermarket setting and the urgent, slightly messy solution appeals to audiences who appreciate candid, unscripted moments of workplace problem-solving. It avoids dramatic explosion or injury, making it relatable and easy to share without requiring heavy context.
